In 2026 I built the FemiHub website and its web version in Next.js, and redesigned the Flutter app so the two feel like one product. Underneath, Firebase keeps them in sync. Tap around the map, each piece has a job.

Firebase Auth and Firestore sit under both the Flutter app and the Next.js site. Log a cramp on the bus, see it on your laptop at work. Nobody should lose their history because they changed devices.
- 02Private is the default, not a setting
People track things here they wouldn't tell their family. Data stays tied to their account, and the UI never makes a big deal of what's being logged.
- 03Femi is honest about what it is
“Femi AI is designed to inform and support, not to replace a healthcare professional.” That line is in the product on purpose, and the handoff to a nurse is always one tap away.
- 04Pay the way people pay
Cards are the exception here. The shop checks out with mobile money in Uganda and Kenya, and USD for everyone else.
I'd do again
Designing the data model around the day log first. Once “what did today feel like?” was simple to write and sync, every feature could lean on it.
I'd do differently
I'd set up one shared design-token file for the Flutter and Next.js apps on day one. It would have saved me two rounds of colour-matching.
